![]() In my mind, I also saw Xbox's new and unfounded position in the industry to resemble the kind of underdog nature I viewed Sega as always kind of positioned in (growing up as Genesis kid with exclusively NES/SNES friends - I was the only one in my entire peer group with a Genesis). ![]() There's the whole "they both run a version of Windows CE" thing, too. Yeah, I saw their Xbox-exclusive games as the kind of heir-inherent of the Sega vibe, and it also helped that the controller feature same layout for face buttons and at the time similar triggers (where they had a longer, progressive give rather than just being buttons on the shoulders).
